General Construction Superintendent

Location: Fayetteville, AR

The superintendent is responsible for managing all jobsite activities for commercial and hospitality
projects. This is a full-time position and may require travel to manage job sites in multiple states.
There will be work on weekends, as needed.

Duties & Responsibilities will require the following and any other items required by Project

Management:

  • Confirm quality construction and installation by all parties. Ensure conformity to plans and
  • specifications.
  • Represent themselves and Boen Kemp in a professional manner, at all times. This includes
  • interactions with vendors, subcontractors, office staff, architects, engineers, inspectors,
  • owners, clients, etc.
  • Estimate and track subcontractor time, budget requirements and deadlines.
  • Keep accurate field records, daily reports, field directives, and subcontractor RFI’s.
  • Plan and host construction progress/subcontractor meetings as required.
  • Maintain safety and compliance with all OSHA, city, and state requirements. Ensure that
  • jobsite remains clean, safe and orderly.
  • Complete projects on time and within budget but never compromising on quality.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

  • Top candidates will be strong leaders, proactive, excellent communicators, problem solvers
  • and perform well under pressure. They must have the ability to listen, comprehend and
  • resolve issues.
  • Prefer 5+ years of successful experience as a superintendent. Experience in hospitality is a
  • plus.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
  • Thorough understanding and ability to interpret plans and specifications.
  • Ability to successfully create, interpret and integrate project schedules as required.
  • Schedule, coordinate and manage all phases of construction activity.
  • Maintain compliance with SWPPP and other items required by authorities with jurisdiction.
  • Communicate and encourage relationships with subcontractors and vendors.
  • Handle delivery of materials and equipment.
  • Competent with basic computer skills using Microsoft software including Word, Excel, Outlook,
  • Project, etc.
  • Provide clear communication and direction on all levels of personal engagement.
